the place for trained coordinators

Our History

Throughout the course of our years in education, Mary Beth and Carolyn as teachers and Micah as an educational speaker/trainer, we recognized the need for quality in-service and training programs that would benefit not only teachers, but students as well. It was during our early years in education, searching for such quality programs, that each of us at different times discovered a high school orientation and transition program called Link Crew. This discovery would change the course of our lives in a dramatic way.

After being trained in the program we each became lead trainers with Link Crew and its middle school companion program, WEB. We were able to work closely with the program’s developer, Phil Boyte, and two of us, Mary Beth and Carolyn, became full time employees of Phil’s company, Learning for Living, in 1999. Micah worked with Learning for Living for over 10 years as a consultant, speaker and trainer.
During the last decade, we have all played key roles in the development of the Link Crew and WEB programs; we have been excited to be a part of their incredible growth throughout that time.

In 2004 we were given the extraordinary opportunity to assume ownership of both programs. It was a daunting task and yet knew it was one we had to take on because in working closely with teachers, students, counselors and administrators for the past several years, one thing became clear to us: in an era of standardized testing, limited resources and increasingly diverse student populations, Link Crew and WEB provide a crucial backbone of support for transitioning students. It is our mission to help as many schools as possible provide this excellent foundation for their incoming students. Our passion for and belief in the programs guides us as we tackle what is undoubtedly the greatest professional endeavor any of us has ever undertaken. We relish the challenge and look ahead to the adventure it brings!
