For the past 15 years, Micah Jacobson has been working with student leaders, schools, teachers, parents and administrators to create unparalleled success. He has presented to more than 850,000 students, teachers and parents in over 1000 schools in the US and Canada.

Micah is the co-author of three books, Focus: 36 Ten Minute Lesson Plans and Teen Power Tool and his third book called Open to Outcome: A Practical Guide to Facilitating and Teaching Experiential Education, which was nominated as a Top Ten Education Book of the Year by Forward Magazine. Micah earned an MBA with distinction from the University of Michigan and is a leading thinker in the world of leadership, experiential learning, and education. Micah has also trained internationally in Russia, Brazil and Israel.  He brings humor, insight and fun to every workshop and speech.

Assemblies and Keynotes – Make Your Mark!
In everything we do, we leave a mark…the sign that we have led a life that is not insignificant. What are the essential ingredients to leaving a mark that truly reflects who you are? Everyone talks about "being yourself," but how do you actually do that? With humor and practical stories, Micah weaves a message aimed at getting people to focus on who they want to be, the mark they want to make and the patterns they can sometimes fall into that prevent them from being their true selves. Micah delivers a message based on sensible wisdom: pay attention, ask great questions, think and reflect, and make marks that matter. Between fits of laughter, students and teachers are reminded that they have the ingredients necessary to be who they really want to be and to live an authentic life.

Invisible Leaders
How will you get even more students to run for office this year? Doesn't it seem like the same group of kids run for student government every year? What about club officers? Give your elections a kick start with an 'Invisible Leaders' workshop with Micah Jacobson. Micah's unique, interactive and fun approach motivates kids to run for election who never thought they could before. Micah will work with you to select the right kids, plan for the day and conduct the workshop. The Invisible Leaders program has been incredibly successful at dozens of schools throughout California. Most schools see at least a 25% increase in the number of applicants for student body offices.

Transition Retreat
What if you already have the student government elected? How do you train them to be effective next year? That is where the Student Government Transition Retreat comes in. Don't let your current officers and representatives leave without sharing what they have learned with the new class. In this 1 or 2 day experience, Micah creates an environment where the 'old' officers are able to efficiently share what they have learned and celebrate their year. At the same time, the 'new' class gets a jump start on their leadership skills, teambuilding, and planning for the 2004-2005 school year. This is the approach used by some of the most successful student government organizations in the country.
