Bill began his professional career as the National Youth Program Coordinator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and then later pursued his current career in education. His student activities program has won the Outstanding Activity Program Award three times.

Chellie became the Dean of Students this year after teaching Physical Education and serving as Athletic Director for 9 years. Chellie ran WEB at 3 different schools, two of them brand new and opened with the help of WEB.
Chellie is an avid athlete, having played and coached soccer for most of her life. She also is passionate about snowboarding and tries to occasionally get out to a coast to try her hand at surfing. Ask her about Goofy!

After graduating with a degree in Economics and Communication and working as a business analyst in the Silicon Valley during the 90’s tech boom Christina developed programs to identify and mentor high-potential high school and college students. This awakened in her a love of teaching, and after pursuing an English masters and credential, she began the career of her dreams as a middle school teacher.
Christina is engaged to be married this summer but most summer days can be found floating down a river or leading a boat rafting tour as a guide.

Jay has been a Physical Education teacher for high school and middle school and was named the Outstanding Teacher Candidate at Cal State Hayward. He also currently serves as the Teacher Association President.
Jay loves being active and outdoors so you can most often find him mountain biking, hiking, skiing or lounging outside in Northern California.

Julie spent the first nine years in teaching at the elementary level and has now been at the middle school level for four years.
Julie has three children that keep her busy going to dance lessons and hockey games and she is a youth soccer coach as well.

June has been teaching for four years and has found her passion in working with students of different cultural backgrounds and making connections that extend beyond their tenure with her. She is also the Spelling Bee Coordinator at CFIS.
Outside school June loves her family and her dog, Rufus and is absolutely passionate about music (folk rock, punk rock and Indie Rock rap).

Kari has taught physical science, life science and english at Princeton and Bemidji Middle Schools. She was named Princeton Middle School Teacher of the Year and received the Leadership in Educational Excellence Award in 2004. When not coordinating WEB at her school Kari can be found working on Career Day and advising cheerleaders.
When away from school Kari is a hockey mom of 3 beautiful children. Her claim to fame is winning a makeover on a local television news show where she got her hair and makeup done by a stylist who previously worked with Oprah!

After teaching Science for 8 years Laurie loves what she does as an AVID teacher. She is her students’ teacher, coach, cheerleader and mentor. In 2006 she was given a Golden Apple Award and recognized on the National Honor Roll of American Teachers.

Meredith was recently married and has moved back to her true home of Portland, OR. Meredith plays the cello, is a marathoner and enjoys a good meal out on the town.
