Potential funding sources to pay for training include foundation grants, Parents’ Clubs, Student Government, Site Councils, private donations, Safe and Drug Free Schools grants, Smaller Learning Communities’ federal grants, Gear Up! and a variety of other sources. You should think about funding your program at two levels:

1. The immediate need is to cover the costs of training the staff members who will become certified Link Crew coordinators.
2. Beyond the initial cost, it is a good idea to create a transition budget to fund the program every year. Link Crew is designed to be highly sustainable with a minimal budget in ongoing years and it is a good idea to identify the ongoing source of revenue for the program at the beginning.
