Orientation

Link Crew kicks off the school year with a fun filled and educational orientation day that welcomes new students into high school. Incoming freshmen are personally invited to attend the orientation day by a junior or senior Link Crew Leader who spends the day with them and mentors them throughout their first year of high school.

The orientation day begins with a general assembly led by your trained coordinator. The assembly takes them through a series of spirited and interactive activities designed to make your students feel comfortable in their new school, inspire a lot of fun and encourage them to consider the path they want to take as they enter high school. Following the assembly, students are organized into smaller groups led by two Link Crew Leaders. During their small groups the freshmen have the opportunity to meet new people, participate in team building activities, learn about their new school as well as learn important information about being successful in high school.

The orientation day concludes with a second general assembly that leaves your incoming freshman class and their Link Crew Leaders feeling energized and excited about the new year ahead. They exit the gym equipped with information and strategies that will help them be successful in high school, the knowledge that the Link Crew Leaders and the school care about them, and a sea of familiar faces to look forward to on their first day of school.
