the place for trained coordinators

Sustainability

Why is Link Crew so easy to sustain? Because Link Crew is implemented and facilitated by trained members of your staff it feels like a truly organic program created specifically for your school and thus, becomes a part of the culture of your campus. Your Link Crew program is yours: we want it to have your school’s unique spirit, personality and identity. That is why it is important that your staff members be involved, hands-on, in the day to day operations of the program. Because of this sense of personal ownership, there are schools that have been successfully running Link Crew programs for over 15 years. That is serious staying power.

Certification
The Boomerang Project certifies Link Crew coordinators through our nationally recognized training programs. This means you do not bring in an outside consultant or company to work with your students. A staff member who knows and connects with your kids will be there day in and day out to make sure the program succeeds.

100% On-going Support
Once certified, Link Crew coordinators have a world of resources at their finger tips. First, they have access to our team of transition and student leadership experts year round. From designing custom lessons, assisting with specific site issues or just thinking up a new social event, The Boomerang Project team is committed to assisting every coordinator for the rest of their educational career.

In education, programs can come and go, but not Link Crew. Because we train members of your staff as coordinators and certify them to bring the program to your school site, Link Crew stays for as long as Link Crew certified personnel are there. pay a license fee, nor are you required to hire us, nor are you obliged to do more training. Additionally, our 100% on-going support comes in almost any capacity you need. From phone calls to email, we are always here to answer your questions or guide you through a challenging situation.

Link Crew Coordinators are not required, but can choose to attend these additional trainings to keep them and their program fresh and relevant year after year.

The Follow Up Course
This conference is part of the Basic Training package and is free the first year a coordinator gets trained. In subsequent years, coordinators are invited back for a nominal fee to update their skills and get reminded of core material. Held every fall, this conference focuses on developing your yearlong transition approach as well as gives you new activities and ideas to keep your program vital.

The Refresher Course
Link Crew is not static. Every year Link Crew continues to grow and change and part of what keeps Link Crew successful on so many campuses is the fact that it continues to develop and adapt to new educational realities and student personalities. Once certified at the Basic Training, Link Crew Coordinators can come back to a Refresher course any year they want to get new and improved information relevant to Link Crew. More than just a “refresh”, this course offers new skills and ideas to established Link Crew programs and helps schools take their programs to the next level of effectiveness and excellence.

The Student Link Conference
Link Crew schools are invited to bring Link Leaders to special half day conferences held throughout the US and Canada to help Link Leaders connect to each other and increase their leadership skills. The Student Link Conference is a great way for Link Crew Leaders to see that they are a part of something bigger than just a “freshman transition program”, but that they are part of a larger community that is focused on developing leaders and improving school cultures!
