What Educators Are Saying
"The Boomerang Project is like a new suit of armor. I had NO IDEA what you have been doing to change education; I am so happy I need not go another day ignorant of your mission. I thank you for your vision, your ability to make this vision happen, and your tireless effort to inspire teachers to be the best for the world, not in the world."

What’s Right With Schools: Upperclassmen lend a helping hand to freshmen
WOODBRIDGE, Conn. (WTNH) — We’re about a month or so into the new school year, which means students may be starting to feel settled with the new routine. In one school, a partnership is ensuring students have someone to turn to all year.

Link Crew
What is Link Crew?
Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes 9th graders and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, this proven transition program trains mentors from your 11th and 12th grade classes to be Link Crew Leaders who guide the 9th graders to discover how to be successful during the transition to high school and help facilitate freshman success.
What Educators Are Saying
“Link Crew, in a very short amount of time, has begun to make an already strong school culture even stronger. Our freshmen seem to have confidence in themselves and the school. WEB is a middle school orientation and transition program that welcomes 6th/7th graders and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their middle school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, the program trains mentors from your 8th grade class to be WEB Leaders. As positive role models, WEB Leaders are mentors and student leaders who guide the 6th/7th graders to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to middle school and help facilitate 6th/7thgrade success.
What Educators Are Saying
“We are thrilled with the change in our school culture. Students are more respectable, kind, and well mannered. The 6th graders love the attention they get and appreciate all the help that the 8th graders give them on the first day and throughout the year. The WEB leaders have grown in confidence and maturity as they develop WEB activities, work with the sixth graders, and celebrate our school.”
